What is financial management for a stone shop?
The numbers of the shop, connected to the jobs.
Financial management is knowing what customers owe you, what you owe suppliers, and what your bank balance will look like in the coming weeks.
Because StoneCraftOS also holds the quote, the contract and the job, a receivable can come from the job and be settled when the customer pays.
The problem
A busy shop can still run out of cash.
- SaleA job is sold and a deposit is promised.
- BankThe money lands in an account.
- SheetSomeone updates a spreadsheet — eventually.
- SuppliersBills are tracked somewhere else.
- Month endNobody is sure what was profit.
- The costDecisions made without a clear cash picture.
The money moves faster than the spreadsheet.
Profit on paper is not cash in the bank.
How it works
From what is owed to what is left.
- 01 Receivables Titles for what customers owe you.
- 02 Payables Titles for what you owe suppliers.
- 03 Settlement Record payments against a bank account.
- 04 Bank accounts A statement for each account.
- 05 Forecast Recurring rules and expected items.
- 06 Reports Cash flow and income statement.
One record from the quote to the bank.
Receivables & payables
Know who owes you and who you owe.
Create titles for what customers owe and what you owe suppliers, give each a financial category and settle it against a bank account. Settlements can be reversed, and a receivables aging report shows what is current and what is overdue.
